Science
intent
At Bosmere Primary School, we want all children to learn about the world in which they live through practical first-hand experiences and secondary sources, to develop their knowledge and understanding of the world in which they live. These experiences should enable children to observe, question, investigate, make sense of and communicate and evaluate their findings. We use the CUSP Science curriculum to provide the structure and resources required to do this effectively.
implementation
CUSP Science pays close attention to the guidance provided by the National Curriculum sequence and content. It is infused with evidence-led practice and enriched with retrieval studies to ensure long-term retention of foundational knowledge; building on learning in the Early Years (Natural World, and People, Culture and Communities).
The CUSP science curriculum places knowledge, vocabulary, working and thinking scientifically at the heart of the science curriculum structure.
